Man shot 'multiple times' in Meath

The incident happened at around 7pm this evening.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a man was shot a number of times in Meath this evening.

The incident happened in the Stamullen area of the county at around 7pm this evening.

Gardaí said a lone gunman walked up to a driveway at Mill Close and fired a number of rounds at a man who was sitting inside a car.

Officers said the injured man was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and his condition is unknown at this stage.

They are now appealing for witnesses.
